At this point, pets only provide mediocre utility. Core, druid, and untamed are struggling to exist in WvW since too many traits/skills are tied to pet swap and beast skill activation which are completely shut down when the pet dies. We need more ranger diversity in WvW. If anet feels thats a bit too op. I'm willing to compromise with.
As Untamed you get more freedom over your pets and basically play two characters as pets will stop autousing thier skills but gain new skills when Unleashed or you get new skills when unleashed Still no pro but that is what i observed.Tldr.: Get more pets, get all the pets! Collect them all for each Ranger you make! (they are not account-wide)
Posted October 3, 2021. @Anet have you noticed that core rangers and druids when their pets die: Loses their profession skill (f2). Lose access to some of their traits (on Pet Swap). Lose some of their damage. The ranger class is the only profession that suffers a penalty for not keeping their class mechanic alive.
The Sic 'Em Soulbeast is not a new archetpye to Guild Wars 2, but is rather a longstanding and robust build which in my opinion is capable of working well in
Ancestral Grace. Druid is the elite specialization for ranger and has recently become an option to play as a support. Due to the changes made in the october balance patch ranger is a possible option but is not recommended playing over scrapper. The build is best described as a bursty condition cleanser with defensive and offensive capabilities.
If you want to be really annoying in PvP, take Wolf and Pink Moa. You can chain CC people while in downed state for lulz and they also synergize quite well with each other. Best pets: Jaguar, Jungle Spider, River Drake, Wolf, Krytan Drake Hound, Raven, Pink Moa, Siamoth.*. Jellyfish or drakes for anything underwater. kx8liu6.
